Automated Machine Systems, Inc. (AMS) headquartered in Jenison, Michigan was founded in 1997 by entrepreneur Kris Chayer. His extensive background in machine design and manufacturing in the pallet industry as well as lengthy experience in tool and die for the automotive industry, prepared him well to pursue his passion for automation.

From humble beginnings, AMS has grown to be one of the major suppliers of automation and computerization for the pallet and material handling industries.  The company is a full design and supply integrator, driven to provide cost effective automated and computerized solutions for both industries.  Our products and services support pallet repair, pallet sorting, pallet handling, wood recovery, pallet grinding, palletizing, pallet washing and drying, heat treating chambers, Palmate™ Pallet Management Systems, and Palcoat™ Paint Systems.  Our integrations are adaptable to either the new or existing equipment environments.
